Truth Telling with the Elders: Hooper Renwick SchoolJoin us for a powerful gathering where a former student from the historic Hooper Renwick School will share Black HERstory.
Truth Telling with the Elders is a powerful three-part storytelling and learning series honoring the voices, wisdom, and lived experiences of Black elders across Gwinnett County and the greater Atlanta region. This series will take place throughout the first quarter of 2026, creating inclusive, intergenerational spaces for communities of all backgrounds to learn, listen, and celebrate the diverse and global roots of Black identity, from the motherland of Africa to the Caribbean diaspora to the historical contributions of foundational Black Americans. These events will center on elders aged 70 and older, many of whom are among the last living witnesses of segregation, educational transformation, and the Civil Rights Movement. We must preserve their truths, resilience, and memories as living libraries before time erases them. Space is limited; RSVP Required

Health, Healing, Harmony, & Hope Womenโs Health, Healing, Harmony, Hope, and Happiness sessions intentionally focus on the wellness needs of those who often pour into others, activists, advocates, educators, mothers, and community leaders, yet rarely have time or space to restore themselves.
These gatherings are practices to center care, healing, dignity, and belonging. Through holistic modalities such as mental health dialogues, yoga, massage therapy, sound baths, journaling, and shared meals, women are invited to rest, relax, release, replenish, restore, and reclaim their peace and joy. We are in a community of care where they feel connected and liberated.
